Elizabeth Eamer’s is a London based artist whose practice is primarily painting with oil, on various different types of Linen and Canvas; sometimes backed with board. Having reached a point in her drawing practice where colour had become more of a consideration than line, she started to paint. Having drawn faces and hands and their interactions, her practice became more abstracted as she investigated colour. Always used categorization, and compartmentalization of emotion, and have progressed this into organizing colour. She has always been interested in information graphics and the misinterpretation and manipulation of the graph. The intention behind her work is to use the visually familiar graph in all its forms and bring it into abstraction. Painting as a media is now integral to her work and her ideas develop along with her understanding of paint.
